NSBE Jr.

The Petersburg (VA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, hosts a NSBE Jr. (National Society of Black Engineers Junior) Chapter in the city of Petersburg, VA. We work to facilitate access to STEM education support for students across the Tri-cities Area. Our programs focus on addressing the disparity in the representation of persons of color in STEM fields.

We offer a variety of exciting opportunities for students to gain hands-on STEM experiences as well as exposure to professionals in sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics careers.

As a chapter of NSBE, our participants have many opportunities to travel to conferences, engage in STEM competitions, and work collaboratively across the nation. As members of NSBE, we are doing our part to help meet NSBE's goal of increasing the number of African American Engineers globally. Our Service to Youth Facet hosts the NSBE Jr. Chapter and works collaboratively across all Links facets to ensure that we are positively impacting the areas we serve.
