Petersburg (VA) Chapter Welcomes New Leadership Team: Embracing Purpose, Presence, and Possibilities

[Petersburg, VA, May 11, 2023] – The Petersburg (VA) Chapter proudly announces the installation of its new leadership team, marking a significant milestone in its journey towards greater community engagement and impact. Under the inspiring theme, "Linked in Purpose, Presence & Possibilities," the chapter is set to embark on an exciting era of growth and service.


Leading the team is the newly elected President, Dr. Nakeina E. Douglas-Glenn. Dr. Douglas-Glenn is renowned for her visionary leadership and commitment to community service. She is poised to steer the chapter towards new heights with her innovative ideas and inclusive approach.


Joining her in guiding the chapter are:


Natalie Pennywell, Vice President, known for her strategic thinking and collaborative leadership style.


LaCrechia Lyons, Secretary, who brings meticulous organizational skills and a passion for detail.


Leathie Gibson, Corresponding Secretary, whose communication expertise will be pivotal in maintaining effective external relations.

Melissia Hill, Financial Secretary, entrusted with the critical role of overseeing the chapter’s financial health.


Nicole Littlejohn, Treasurer, whose financial acumen will be instrumental in ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency.

The chapter is also honored to have Vivian Williams transition to the role of Immediate Past President. Her wisdom and experience will continue to be a guiding light for the chapter as it moves forward.


Under the theme "Linked in Purpose, Presence & Possibilities," the new leadership team is committed to building on the chapter’s 75-year legacy while exploring innovative avenues for community service and engagement. This theme underscores the importance of collaborative efforts, a strong community presence, and the exploration of new opportunities to make a positive impact.
